Lithia Springs Resort

After a two week long road trip, staying in 7 different locations, and driving over 2,000 miles we felt that we needed a vacation after the vacation. Lithia Springs Resort was a perfect place to relax and get ready for our last part of our return trip back to California. We really felt rejuvenated from the mineral water, the gardens, and the beautiful layout of the property. The breakfast was so good and the afternoon tea was a treat. Girls loved the freedom to pick raspberries, blackberries, grapes, and tomatoes straight from the garden. We stayed in the family suite 17 and it was such a cute place to stay in. When we walked through the door we were so glad that we had arrived because every detail of the place was on point.  After staying here I think I want to paint my doors yellow as well.

Located 2165 W Jackson Rd, Ashland, OR 97520.

ScienceWorks

I honestly believe that learning should look like this amazing hands on learning museum. A place where learning is fun for the whole family. We loved it. I think our favorite was the bubble room. We could seriously play with bubbles all day. Now, if only we could create bubble fun like this at home. The screaming chamber was a blast. Kids are always asked to use their indoor voices but not here because here they get to go into a sound proof room and are able to scream as loud as they possibly can. Esther was the loudest in our family. I wish ScienceWorks was near us because I’d come here with the kids every few weeks.

Lithian Park

Ashland is very lucky to have such a cool and diverse park. It seems like this park has something for everyone. It has a Japanese garden that is opened to the public, a upper duck pond, Perozzi fountain, playground and more. This park is spread out well enough so that it doesn’t feel crowded and I think parks this amazing are perfect for those who want to enjoy the outdoors.

Located at Ashland, OR 97520.

Schneider Museum of Arts

This is a small art museum on the campus of Southern Oregon University. This is a very modern and contemporary building with 4 exhibits rooms featuring different artists. It’s a great stop and it doesn’t matter what time of the year you visit Ashland. It is especially great on a day when it is 100 degrees F. It will definitely not break your budget to cool down while looking at some cool art because admission is free.

Location at 1250 Siskiyou Blvd, Ashland, OR 97520.

Before doing what I’m doing now I taught young children for several years and fully embrace the concept of hands on learning too. This looks like a wonderfully fun and educational trip.

And I would want to paint my door yellow too.

The Lithia Springs Resort looks amazing. I live in a city, so I always crave going somewhere peaceful and quiet. I love that the kids could pick berries right out of the garden. How wonderful is that?
