Around Everett, Washington

25 miles from Seattle you can find a city by the name of Everett with the population of over 100,000. This city became a front for plane development and manufacturing with 39,000 of the people of Everett being Boeing employees. If you love planes or are in the area you won’t want to miss this beautiful city.

My sweet husband and I got married when I was 18 years old. It felt right. We were dating since I was 15 1/2 years old. I am very glad that we did get married that young. I think there are benefits to getting married young as well as disadvantages. I think one of the sweetest things about being married for so long and at such a young age is how comfortable we feel with each other and how we get to “grow wiser” together. Now when it comes to our children we have already told them that they can marry as young as 18, later in life, or not at all. Marriage is the biggest commitment a person can make and it should not be taken so lightly. We pray often about our children’s future spouses and talk about how a healthy marriage should look like. I know that talk doesn’t cut it. That we have to be first examples and that they watch everything we say and do but I also want them to understand marriage. I hope that when they find their special someone (before they marry) that God will give me the wisdom to not get into their business but if I see something unhealthy that I’ll be able to give them advice in a way that will not hurt them. How old were you when you got married? When is the right time to get married? Is there a right age?

Mukilteo Lighthouse

This lighthouse is a lot different than most lighthouses you see. It is a small and cute lighthouse. It doesn’t feel like a lighthouse but more like visiting a historic home. Our love for lighthouses runs deep.

Having been build in 1906, Mukiteo Lighthouse is definitely a classic lighthouse. It used a 5 second flash system and is on the National Register of Historic Places. This lighthouse overlooks the Puget Sound.

Located at 608 Front St, Mukilteo, WA 98275.

Hibulb Cultural Center

Hibulb Cultural Center captures the history, lifestyle, and culture of the native people of the area. There are some very good exhibits here and it is very educational. Unlike most similar places we have seen this cultural center had canoes and wooden statues. This museum does a well job at capturing the current lifestyles of the native people. Definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys knowledge or is simply curious.

Located at 6410 23rd Avenue N.E Tulalip, Washington 98271.

Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Arts Museum

After visiting this museum my desire to learn the art of quilting became even stronger. I hope that one day soon I’ll make the time for quilting. Quilting has been around for centuries.

We lovedĀ  Seeing Stars and Gifts from the Japanese exhibits. So many different patterns and colors on display.

Located at 703 S 2nd St, La Conner, WA 98257.

Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum

The Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum has a large collection of airplanes and tanks used in war. With items from United States, Germany, Japan, Soviet Union, and United Kingdom. Most of the planes and tanks are from the World War 2 period and are in good condition. This museum offers a very good and educational experience for people of all ages. I loved learning about the “Night Witches” and this was probably by far my favorite part of this museum. These amazing young women during the Soviet Union flew three planes at night bombing the Germans and this helped them to be so successful.

Located at 3407 109th St SN, Everett, WA 98204.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett

Why does food taste better when it is someone’s else’s? Here they had complimentary breakfast and a snack bar that is opened 24 hours because we stayed in the executive level on the 7th floor so our floor was the only one that had access to complimentary pantry. So as soon as Eve would open her eyes and she would start naming all the things she would like her brother to get for her. We have the same things at home but she isn’t as eager to wake up and eat. My mom told me that when I was a little girl (Back in Ukraine) that she made piroshki and gave some to our neighbor. Apparently I went to my neighbors house and tried some of my moms piroshki. I came back home telling my mom how tasty our neighbors piroshki were. Does that happen to you or your kids?

Everything here is beautiful and the modern design and look is stunning. Could stay here for days.

Located at 3105 Pine St, Everett, WA 98201.
