Oregons Central Coast

You know what attracted us to eachother when we were dating? Our dreams!!! We are big dreamers.
The thing about being dreamers is that you have to support each other and you have to work hard.
The other thing is that it takes commitment and dedication. It also takes years.
The Dreams that did not last were the ones that we gave up on or we no longer wanted to pursue.
Some of these dreams did not work because we didn’t put enough time or effort into them. Other dreams had other people in them and somehow it just did not work.

All of these dreams or things that we worked on brought us to what we are doing today. We believe none of it was a waste of time.

Sea Lion Caves

Sea Lion Caves is a fabulous experience that anyone remotely interested in this species should visit. There are many Sea Lions in this cave and this is a great place to observe them. Not every location allows for people to see large groups of the same species interacting with each other. There are plenty of things to learn about Sea Lions throughout this location. There is also the best viewpoint for looking at Heceta Head Lighthouse here.

Located at 91560 US-101, Florence, OR 97439.

Cape Perpetua Overlook

Cape Perpetua Overlook is one of the finest places to view Oregon’s beautiful coast line. You start off with a nice and enjoyable walk downhill to get to the overlook. It’s a easy trail that has very little elevation gain. When you get to a rock structure forming a hut that extends into a balcony. And shows you a beautiful view that will impress you and be worth much more hiking than you had just done.

South Beach State Park

To get to this beach you will take a paved jetty trail. Here you can ride bikes if you brought your own. The beach is beautiful and a great way to spend some time outdoors.

Located at 5580 SW Coast Hwy, Newport, OR 97366.

Umpqua Lighthouse State Park Yurt and Umpqua River Lighthouse

Umpqua River Lighthouse was a very educational and interesting experience for us. We learned why they built the jetties and how helpful they are to merchant ships enter and exiting the harbor And that is only the beginning the entire tour was full of interesting things up till the finale where we entered the light itself. This is something we have never done before. If you haven’t seen this lighthouse yet you should add it to your bucket list.

Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area

Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area is a very self explanatory location. But despite that we were very surprised when arriving here. The large size of the herd that were hanging out for us to view them was astonishing. This is definitely a place we could imagine revisiting to have a picnic. Certainly a place to visit when in the area
